NWHP began in 1978 with a project to find and preserve the stories of women who worked in the shipyards in the Portland/Vancouver area during WWII doing what was traditionally 'men's work.' We conducted oral history interviews, gathered images and produced a slide show and now a DVD Good Work, Sister! Women Shipyard Workers of World War II: An Oral History. We continue to show the DVD, speak at showings, and distribute the DVD and study guide to schools, libraries and individuals.

Founded in Portland in 2004 by acclaimed dancer/choreographer Sarah Slipper, NW Dance Project is dedicated to the creation, Portland premiere and international touring of innovative, new contemporary dance works (300+) from gifted dance makers created in an open and artistically stimulating environment. Our award-winning dancers have been called “some of the best dancers you will ever see” (Calgary Herald), and The Oregonian named NW Dance Project “an essential part of the city’s arts scene.”

The Obo Addy Legacy Project programs are integral to the cultural life of Oregon. They enhance understanding of African arts and cultural traditions. Founded by Obo and Susan Addy in 1986, the organization exists as a virtual cultural center with offerings in schools, parks, community centers and performance venues all over the state. The Obo Addy Legacy Project continues Homowo’s valuable work of adding to the quality of life, the diversity and the creativity of the Northwest.

OHOM is an Oregon-based non-profit organization that supports individuals serving prison sentences through arts and dialogue—facilitating personal and institutional transformation and growth. Since 2007, we have enriched the lives of many Oregon inmates through our various arts programs. We are seen as an important ally and positive change agent in a system that needs to better support the incarcerated while they serve their sentences, as well as when they leave and begin life on the outside. Because of this work, along with other societal changes, we are slowly seeing shifts in public perceptions of returning citizens as they use their skills and adaptability to be more productive and valued by the broader Oregon community.

The Oregon Artists Series Foundation facilitates new public art in downtown Salem. It organized Mayor’s Art Annual exhibitions and the purchase of art for the Salem Convention Center and planned for the acquisitions and loans of sculptures installed outside the building. It collaborates with the Hallie Ford Museum of Art on loans of contemporary works from its collection at Willamette University. It uses its nonprofit status to seek gifts of public art for the City of Salem’s collection.

The Oregon Aviation Historical Society was originally incorporated in 1983 to collect, preserve, and restore Oregon related aviation artifacts for interpretive and educational display to insure the preservation of Oregon’s rich aviation heritage for future generations.

Oregon Bach Festival (OBF) has presented the masterworks of J.S. Bach to audiences in Eugene, Portland, and throughout the State of Oregon for nearly five decades. The annual event began as a collaboration between German Conductor and Organist, Helmuth Rilling and former Associate Dean of the University of Oregon School Of Music, Royce Saltzman. OBF is now an international festival of worldwide repute, led by Maestro Matthew Halls and Executive Director Janelle McCoy.

Founded in 1989 by James Canfield, a former principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet, OBT quickly developed a distinctive style and unique repertoire that grew to comprise over 80 ballets. From 2003-2012, under the direction of Christopher Stowell, OBT added 20 world premieres to its diverse body of work. In 2013, Kevin Irving became the company’s 3rd Artistic Director and is working to develop a unique approach to 21st century American ballet that reflects the vigor of this evolving art form.

Oregon Black Pioneers is Oregon’s only historical society dedicated to preserving and presenting the experiences of African Americans statewide. For more than 30 years, we’ve illuminated the seldom-told stories of people of African descent in Oregon through our engaging exhibits, public programs, publications, and historical research. Additionally, we partner with local organizations to identify, interpret, and preserve sites with African American historical significance. BRAVO Youth Orchestras transforms the lives of underserved youth through intensive orchestral music instruction. BRAVO is inspired by El Sistema, the international movement of social action through music founded in Venezuela in 1975. BRAVO is a member of El Sistema USA, and is the first El Sistema aligned program in Oregon. BRAVO launched operations in September 2013 with BRAVO Rosa Parks at Portland's poorest public school. In 2016-17 BRAVO will serve over 500 students at four priority schools

Blue Sky serves 25,000 visitors/year at our 3,700 square foot gallery. All programs are free and include: * 22-24 solo photography shows. Artists receive a $750 stipend, can produce an exhibition catalog and give an artist talk. Work is usually offered for sale, and is featured in our annual yearbook. * The Pacific NW Photography Viewing Drawers, with original prints for sale by 70 contemporary photographers. * A non-circulating library of 1,000+ photography books available to the public.

The mission of Oregon Children’s Choir is to nurture and educate the youth of today through choral and vocal music education. At Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad (OCSR), we strive to EDUCATE about, PRESERVE, and RESTORE the history of logging railroading in the Pacific Northwest. Through historic train rides along the Oregon Coast, we can EDUCATE the public, bring the past to life, and tell the story of how the railroad was vital to shaping the county into what it is today. We strive to PRESERVE the historic right-of-way, equipment, and history by creating authentic experiences and displays for visitors to explore and enjoy. With expert skills, OCSR can RESTORE the history of the Pacific Northwest, allowing the public a chance to see, up close, real historic motive power running once again in the environment it once helped form.

The Oregon Coast School of Art (OCSA) is a non-profit started by Emily Free Wilson and Matt Wilson. The mission of OCSA is to inspire through creativity and support the arts through teaching programs and a multi-media residency program. The Festival’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for Oregon’s youth by providing the opportunity to learn and perform orchestral music together.  The Festival annually presents three events: 1) a four-day April Festival for HS orchestras, 2) a Winter Chamber Music Concert Series with HS students and professionals playing side-by-side, and 3) a Composers’ Symposium for HS students.  Schools with a high percentage of students qualifying for free/reduced lunch and/or minority students are given priority admission.

Oregon Contemporary is a space dedicated to art, community, and the exponential possibilities of contemporary art. We produce powerful, visionary art programs for the communities of Oregon.

We believe artists provide unique, forward-thinking ways of connecting people to the nuanced issues that define modern life. We regularly promote voices and points of view—regional to international—that have been historically underrepresented in the arts, and engage these populations to impact and intervene in the contemporary arts dialogue.

By showcasing any and all forms of art in our exhibitions and events, Oregon Contemporary supports and empowers artists, curators, and performers, presenting singular experiences for the public every month. The Oregon Country Fair creates events and experiences that nourish the spirit, explore living artfully and authentically on earth, and transform culture in magical, joyous and healthy ways. We are an annual three-day festival offering the finest in entertainment, hand-made crafts, delectable food and information sharing. The Fair takes place in Veneta, Oregon, about 15 miles west of Eugene.

Founded in Pendleton in 1985, the Oregon East Symphony's mission is, "to operate, support, and maintain a symphony orchestra, ensembles, chorale, and youth classical music program in order to enhance the cultural wealth of the region through education and performance." The Oregon Folklife Network (OFN) is the state of Oregon’s Folk and Traditional Arts Program, made up of a network of statewide culture and heritage partners that operate on state, regional, county, and community levels to document, support, preserve, and celebrate Oregon’s cultural traditions. Founded by Koto Master Mitsuki Dazai in 2012, Oregon Koto-Kai works to bring the ancient sound of Japanese Koto music to live audiences in the Pacific Northwest. We have performed at the Camellia Festival in Newburg, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and more. Experience the adventure of life on our rivers when you explore the sternwheeler Portland, the last operating steam-powered sternwheel tug in the U.S. The vessel uses the same technology as those at the turn of the 20th century, as evident when you tour the engine room. Volunteer docents will take you on a tour of the steamer, including the pilot house and engine room, and tell stories of the local rivers and their maritime history.

Oregon Mozart Players was founded in 1982 by a group of local professional musicians with two purposes: to perform the large repertoire of music for chamber orchestra and to share this music with the Eugene-Springfield community.
