The Children’s Museum of Central Oregon (CMCO) was founded in 2015 as a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Bend, Oregon. Our Board of Directors is composed of local residents passionate about bringing more STEAM-based learning options to our community.
Initially, the Children’s Museum of Central Oregon was a “museum without walls” hosting summer camps and pop-up museum events in and around Central Oregon. Due to the continued growth in the region, and the continued lack of informal education opportunities for the youngest members of our community, in 2021 the board of directors pivoted to focus on building a museum WITH walls.

CMKF's non-profit began in 1998. The board had gone to children's museums and had seen first-hand what an interactive museum offers to the communities they serve. December 2001, CMKF was graciously donated a dental building to house the future "Children's Museum of Klamath Falls". Volunteers from the community gave countless hours, days, evenings and even the sacred weekend to help with our mission. July 4th, 2008 CMKF held it's Grand Opening for the families of Southern Oregon and beyond.

In addition, Dr. Browne visits the school prior to the encounter to tailor the CIS visit to specific objectives and abilities.
The Christmas Ship Parade started in 1954 with one lone sailboat from Portland Yacht Club. Bows of green with some ribbon where tied along the rails and it paraded on the rivers. The next year the parade started to grow. Today, The Christmas Ship Fleet averages about 55 to 60 boats between the Columbia and Willamette River fleets. Things have changed from the first lone ship. Now the displays are brightly lit and can be seen from bank to bank on each river. Each boat owner designs and builds their lighted Christmas display and pays their operating costs which includes fuel. Many of the displays can be seen each year, but new boats join the flotilla each year and bring with them new Christmas oriented lighted exhibits.

Donors to OCT received a tax credit when the contribution is matched by equal or greater charitable gifts to other Oregon cultural non-profits. Our mission is to connect musicians of different backgrounds, abilities, and life experiences through interactive personal live music experiences. This purpose recognizes that benefits extend beyond the jam and hours played, as we nurture an environment where musicians can respect that each member is on their own musical path. By teaching our methods, perspectives, and techniques, we validate and encourage the development of each member as an individual musician. Further, our organization supports and encourages musical collaborations and projects that benefit our larger local communities, through interactions with live music. Sharing our methods and technology, Community Jams will connect with other cities and communities to expand the positive impact of live music.

Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Culture Department
The Confederated Tribes have had a continuous government of, by, and for the Tribes since Time Immemorial. The Constitution of the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians states in part:
Preamble. “We, the members of the Confederated Tribes … establish our tribal government in order to … Acquire, develop and conserve resources to achieve economic and social self-sufficiency for our tribe” Article 1 Section 2. “The jurisdiction of the Confederated Tribes … shall extend to the fullest extent permitted by law over all lands, waters, property, airspace, minerals, wildlife, and other resources … located within the … reservation, over any tribal land or land held … in trust status, and over any “Indian Country” of the Confederated Tribes as defined by Federal law.”
The Culture Department's planning incorporates the arts, heritage, humanities, and culture that adequately represent the composition of our Tribes unique cultural interests in our ancestral homeland. We strive to identify barriers to public cultural awareness and education and cultural expression and remove as many financial, physical, and culturally perceived roadblocks as possible in order for arts, humanities, heritage, and culture to flourish and grow in our communities.
