Senator Dick Anderson is the Senate Ex-Officio member of the Oregon Cultural Trust. Senator Anderson has fostered cultural expansion throughout his Senate district and Oregon. He is a founding member and co-chair of the Legislature’s Art & Culture Caucus.

Senator Anderson was elected to the Oregon Senate in 2020. Prior to that, he served 12 years in local government, six of those as Mayor of Lincoln City. He currently is serving on the North Lincoln Health District Board as well as the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Board.

In his capacity as state senator, Senator Anderson serves on the Full Ways & Means Committee, Ways & Means General Government Subcommittee, Finance & Revenue, the Emergency Board, Housing & Development as Vice-Chair and Early Childhood & Behavioral Health as Vice-Chair. He is also Co-Chair of the Senate Conduct Committee and Co-Chair of the Joint Conduct Committee. Senator Anderson serves on numerous task forces and work groups for issues that are most concerning to the residents of the Coast.

Senator Anderson was raised in Wallowa County, Oregon and retired to the Coast after 35 years in the financial services industry. Senator Anderson and his wife, Sue, have been married for 55 years and have two adult children and five grandchildren.
