Grant Information:

Review Criteria: Successful projects will demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrate artistic vision and the organization's capacity to realistically and regularly assess its program.
  • Demonstrate level of community support for the organization or program and degree of community ownership of the organization.
  • Be well thought out, clearly articulated and reflect critical thinking about the grantee's challenges and opportunities.
  • Include a reasonable and appropriate budget for the proposed activity, which identifies income/revenue Sources in addition to a Coalition grant (cash and in-kind).
  • Determine, in advance, the process and criteria to evaluate the project.
  • Implement a minimum of one Coalition goal and help achieve at least one measure of success.

 

Grant Deadline:

When funds are accessible, the Board may award grants on a competitive basis to requests that realize one or more of the goals set forth in the Plan and result in a confirmable benefit to this County's residents and guests. The Board reserves the right to forgo any competitive grant cycle and invest funds in any single cultural activity

Cultural Priorities:

Preserve, strengthen, develop and increase use of Gilliam County cultural facilities and heritage sites.
Provide more Arts, Heritage, and Humanities opportunities for Gilliam County residents.
Facilitate the coordination of and increase access to cultural events
Build a greater awareness of the vital role that arts, heritage, and humanities play in the development of our community.
