he Newberg Community Band was founded in 2000 to encompass the spirit of music and camaraderie. Our band performs regularly at George Fox University and community events to showcase our talent and sounds—from show tunes and classic band repertoire to Sousa marches.
The purposes of the band are:
- To experience the joy and fun of music in a group environment.
- To promote band music in the community through concerts and other performances.
- To provide music education programs for the public.
- To support the musicians in the community by providing performance and skill enhancement opportunities.
- To partner with other musical groups for concerts, performances, and other activities.
