A Big Thanks to our Fall Media Partners: OPB, Community Newspapers, and Willamette Week!

Willamette Week’s Annual Give!Guide featured Oregon Cultural Trust as a partner for the fourth year in a row! In addition to an full-page, full-color ad, Willamette Week helped target 36 of our partner non-profits with a small “OCT” button, designating them as matches for a Trust donation, in order to qualify for the cultural tax credit.

As part of the Give!Guide, Willamette Week is offering special “Big Day” Incentives. People who donate $10 or more through the G!G website on specific days will be entered to win certain prizes:

Nov. 15: A Salt & Straw ice-cream party. Personal party for up to 200 people at the Salt and Straw ice cream company.

Nov. 29: A pair of Shwood sunglasses.

Dec. 6: A 2013 VIP pass to Holocene.

Dec. 13: A case of distilled spirits from Rogue Distillery.

So, make your donation to the Cultural Trust and one of its 36 partners listed in the G!G on those days at giveguide.oaktree.com.

In 2009, the Cultural Trust received $89,000+ through Give!Guide, and that number has risen steadily to $175,000 in 2011, with that number matched to various cultural non-profits around the region. Thank you to Richard Meeker, Nick Johsnon and Carly Hutchens for all your hard work on this project!

Oregon Public Broadcasting offered the Trust a generous partnering opportunity to promote Days of Culture in October. Maybe you saw one of our promotional spots between October 1 and October 8 on OPB TV, or heard our ads on OPB Radio and its affiliate jazz station KMDZ? Thank you to Paul Loofburrow and your creative crew for making this happen!

If you live in the Portland Metro Area, from Newberg to Hillsboro to Estacada, you may have read Community Newspapers’ 20 page Days of Culture insert, which published September 26-28? More than 10 articles featured Trust grantees, including Ethos Music! This is the third year of our partnership with Community Newspapers! Thank you to Mark Garber, Kevin Anspach and your fabulous staff for creating a buzz around Days of Culture.
