The mission of Portland Piano International is to “present the finest pianists of today and tomorrow and to foster the growth of musicianship in our region through education and inspiration.” For 47 years, PPI has presented world-class pianists through their annual recital series, delivering consistent, high-quality concert seasons in Portland and across Oregon and SW Washington. Since 2019, their main recital series has been served by a series of annually appointed guest artistic curators, all internationally known artists, who each perform a recital and engage five fellow artists for the other programs. PPI is also dedicated to supporting piano teachers and involving young people in the joy of classical music.
