Friends of Marquam Nature Park

Neighbors in 1974 formed FMNP to contest development of the Marquam Ravine and to privately raise the funds needed to preserve the land for public use. Marquam Nature Park was dedicated in 1983 and given to the City of Portland in 1989.

FMNP is an all volunteer organization which works to conserve, maintain and enhance the historical, natural, and recreational resources of Marquam Nature Park and to educate the public about the Park’s unique natural and cultural history.
