Daughters of the American Revolution, Oregon State Society

The DAR was founded to honor our country’s heritage through the areas of Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism. Oregon DAR welcomes you to visit its museums and historic markers, and join in the efforts to support our country’s military, veterans, and youth education programs. The 1800 members of Oregon DAR proudly serve in 37 chapters around the state as part of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The NSDAR began in Washington, DC, on October 11, 1890.
