March 15, 2012 (Portland, OR) The Multnomah CountyCultural Coalition (MCCC) has announced their 2012 Community CulturalParticipation Grant Program (CCP) guidelines. This year, up to $45,000 will beawarded to community-based cultural events, programs and organizations thatfurther MCCC’s mission to foster a community that is opportunity-rich incultural offerings.

Any not-for-profit organization is eligible to apply for aCCP grant of up to $2,000 to be used for a specific event, program or activity,as long as it is open to the public. This includes registered neighborhoodassociations, groups of citizens with a declared common purpose consistent withthe goals of this grant program, and organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status.However, IRS 501(c)(3) status is not required. Applicationsmust clearly demonstrate how the funds will help the proposed cultural event,program, or activity to become more accessible and/or affordable to MultnomahCounty residents or encourage new cultural activities and organizations.
