Central Coast Chorale (dba Coastal Voices) was founded by Director Mary Lee Scoville, DMA, and local residents in 1997 as a vehicle for Central Coast community men and women who enjoy singing and listening to music in a convivial and professional setting. The chorale has grown over the years and today boasts over 50 members. The chorale does not discriminate against any individual. Singers range in age from 14 to 80. Community participation and input is always welcome.

The Connie Hansen Garden offers over an acre of flowers, shrubs and trees chosen for their ability to thrive in our coastal climate. Beautiful in all seasons, paths wind past sunny perennial beds through stands of tall rhododendrons, over bridges to secluded nooks of choice plantings. Benches give views of flower beds along the handicapped accessible central trail. This garden, open daily to the public free of charge, is maintained entirely by volunteers. Friends of Driftwood Library is an all volunteer organization established in 1976 and dedicated to the support and enhancement of library services. Through our membership and volunteers we have developed a relationship with our community to promote the cultural and educational activities of the library.
We sponsor a variety of library programs, including the Children's Summer Reading Program and the Oregon Legacy Series featuring Oregon writers in a mid-winter lecture series.

The Friends of the Little Log Church Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit oversight and fundraising board, have persevered for over 8 years so that the restoration project would become an actuality. They are delighted with the skilled expertise and care of the restoration crew. Donations may be sent to PO Box 712 Yachats, OR 97498.
The Little Log Church Museum at the corner of West 3rd and Pontiac streets was built in the late 1920s by community volunteers using local timber hauled down the Yachats River. It was completed and dedicated in 1930. It was served by ministers from the Oregon Conference of the Evangelical Church, and later by pastors from the Presbyterian Church. When the congregation grew too large for the little building, members built a new church a few blocks away, and the Little Log Church and property was sold to the Oregon Historical Society on the condition it be maintained as a museum.
It became a museum in 1970 and was deeded to the City of Yachats in 1986. The Little Log Church Museum houses photographs of the area, settler exhibits, and works by former resident artists and authors. The Little Log Church Museum is operated by volunteers on behalf of the City of Yachats for citizens and visitors alike.
The Little Log Church Museum is currently closed to the public as repairs are being made.
In conjunction with the Friends of the Little Log Church and Museum 501(c)3 board, the City is remodeling the Little Log Church Museum. The current building has extensive dry rot and an unstable foundation. The Friends of the Little Log Church Museum helped to raise funds for the remodel.

Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to aid in the preservation of Newport's lighthouses, and to enhance the interpretive programs for the lighthouses and their surrounding natural areas.

The Lincoln City Cultural Center is a 17,000 square-foot center for creativity and community, in the historic brick Delake School Building. Upstairs you'll find a stage & auditorium, fine art gallery, multi-purpose dance studio, gift shop and conference room, as well as the city's official Visitor Information Center. Downstairs are studios for ceramics, textiles and mosaics, and a well-equipped commercial kitchen. Home to the famous Sunday Farmers & Crafters Market, held May-Oct on the lawn.

The Lincoln County Foundation was established in 1965 to act as an umbrella 501 c 3 for donors to place funds in trust for the benefit of the people of Lincoln County. While emphasis is on youth, other charitable giving is welcome. It is governed by a nine member board of Lincoln County residents. The funds are invested through Edward Jones under guidelines established in the bylaws of the organization.

Lincoln County Genealogical Society's purpose is to promote education and historical awareness, record and preserve genealogical records and information, encourage and instruct members in research techniques, foster interest in genealogy, and publish genealogical materials. The Newport Symphony Orchestra, which began in 1988, is the only year-round, professional symphony orchestra on the Oregon coast.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Oregon’s coastal communities with diverse, inspiring performances and engaging educational activities.
Adam Flatt is the Music Director and Conductor of the NSO, and popular actor and narrator David Ogden Stiers is our Resident Conductor.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is dedicated to creating unique and engaging experiences that connect people to the Oregon Coast and inspire ocean conservation. Rated as one of the top 10 aquariums in the USA because of naturalistic exhibits and effective presentation of marine life, the Aquarium has provided great guest experiences for millions of visitors since 1992. The facility captures a strong sense of place along the Pacific Ocean and the organization is focused on education and conservation.

The non-profit Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) is based in the thriving central Oregon coast town of Newport. OCCA's mission is to develop, promote and celebrate community arts – and to promote and provide high-caliber arts experience on the Oregon coast. The Festival’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for Oregon’s youth by providing the opportunity to learn and perform orchestral music together. The Festival annually presents three events: 1) a four-day April Festival for HS orchestras, 2) a Winter Chamber Music Concert Series with HS students and professionals playing side-by-side, and 3) a Composers’ Symposium for HS students. Schools with a high percentage of students qualifying for free/reduced lunch and/or minority students are given priority admission.

Porthole Players is a non-profit community theater group, established in Newport, Oregon in 1972. We are committed to increasing the social capital of our community through our love of theater: developing the skills, spirit, and artistic sensibilities of all those who participate, on stage, behind it, or in the audience. Based in Newport, Oregon - Red Octopus Theatre Company has been offering the central coast the best in comedy, drama, classics, musicals, and original works since 1976. Performances take place at the Newport Performing Arts Center, as do our workshops and our annual 24 Hour Theatre events.

The SMART Reading Northwest Area team implements SMART Reading and raises funds to support SMART Reading in Lincoln, Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties. In the 2024-25 school year, we served 1,243 PreK through third-grade students and gave away 11,151 books.
We are focused on recruiting more volunteers and establishing strong financial support among our communities to ensure we can continue this important work of empowering local children through reading.

The Yakona Nature Preserve & Learning Center works to promote and facilitate formal and informal educational opportunities that allow people of all ages and abilities to observe, discover, and research local cultural history and natural ecosystems. Yakona centers “students as scientists” – all are actively engaged in experiential learning through climate science monitoring and data collection. We work in partnership with several school districts, the local community college, universities, and local tribes to link curricular objectives to the land, with student activities in science, art, and history reinforcing concepts and knowledge attainment at each grade level. The overarching goal is to restore and preserve native forests and wildlife while educating youth and the community about the importance of the Sitka-spruce mixed forest ecosystem and its role in mitigating the climate crisis. Teaching students, youth, and families the importance of Oregon's native coastal forest while engaging them as scientists creates empowerment, responsibility, and opportunity for this and future generations, which is why Yakona exists.
