What We Support
Since 2003, donations to the Cultural Trust have created over $12.5 million in grants to over 900 arts, heritage and humanities programs directly and an additional 2,000 projects through the cultural coalitions that serve every county and federally recognized tribe in Oregon. The five Cultural Partner agencies have supported another 55 projects, statewide.
The Trust’s three grant programs allow funding to be deep and broad. The annual distribution of funds, 42% of dollars earned in the previous fiscal year, is divided equally among the three programs:
These grants are made possible entirely by Oregonians' donations to the Cultural Trust. Trust donors not only receive a 100% tax credit from the State of Oregon – if their gift is matched by equal or greater contributions to any number of 1,300 Participating Cultural Nonprofits – they also provide a direct benefit to the libraries, historical societies, youth art programs and preservation projects that are the heart of every community.
